First Presbyterian Church is a small church with a big heart! We are located in Hugo, OK. We were founded in 1902. We will be celebrating 120 years of ministry in 2022. There have been many changes to our church over the years. We are so grateful to everyone's contributions past, present and future. Connecting lives to Christ for over 120 years brings us great joy! We are proud of our past and excited about our future. We hope God will guide us through this process and lead us toward the right candidates.

Current Opening: Pastor (Part-Time Minimum of 20 hours a week)
First and foremost our Pastor will need to possess a strong and abiding faith in Jesus Christ. We are looking for a sincere, hard-working, risk-taking leader who wants to create a culture of authentic worship and joy.

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Focus primarily on leading a passionate, gospel-centered worship on a weekly basis while also mobilizing the church in our community outreach efforts.

Experience in leading worship.

Oversee the planning and preparation of worship services on Sunday morning.

Work with session to develop creative and engaging worship services.

Meet on Wednesdays during school year to engage children during Children's Church.

Lead evening bible studies with Adults.

Be an advocate for our wonderful small church family.

Encourage spiritual growth in the persons they work with and serve.

Be committed to a blended worship style that is creative, flexible and diverse.

Assist with planning special and seasonal programs.

Experience:
-
Preferred-Ministry or worship leading: 2 years.

Preferred-Degree in Theology, religious studies, seminary or Divinity.
Pay :

Twice monthly
-
$20.00 an hour with a minimum of 20 hours a week.

Goal is to hire our part-time minister into a full-time position.
